Donate $5000 worth of stock held in my IRA or $401k plan.

I've been trying to sell my condo for a few months now, but the market is really slow and I'm competing with short sales/forclosures hitting the market at nearly $50K less than what I've listed at. I realize this is a buyer's market, so I'm considering just renting out my place and keeping it as an investment property instead. Or would it be wiser to do a lease option (rent to own) sale?

Hi there,
I rented out two rooms this fall to two guy grad students to help pay my morgage, one is not a problem, the other has made my life a living hell! He destroys my kitcken equipment, uses meat tenderizers on my kitcken counter and leaves my house unlocked when we are gone because he figures that if a crook wants in they will get in. I have given him notice mentioning 6 lease violations and he is denying everything and refuses to sign the eviction notice, refuses to move out!! Besides his violations, I don't feel safe with him in the house, he is extremely arrogant, demeaning, and cracks his knuckles at me (which I think is just a bit more than having tight hand joints). I'm at wits end with him, and my family is so worried about him being in the house with me that they suggest I sell the house so I can force him out that way. I think it would be better to make an amendment to the lease that will restrict him so much that he will leave to greener pastures. Any suggestions?

How long will they give me to pay it off? Can I pay it off in 3 years if that is all I can afford?

Thank you.

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what they thought a person who gets hired in at Kroger, for third shift would make?

Keep in mind I have 1-2 years food experience, 1 year retail, and 1/2 year health experience and this wouldn't be my first job.

Thank you.

I know the general answer to this question is that married persons must file as married, but I have a special situation. We got married this year, but live in separate states as we are finishing our training. We have lived separately for the entire year, and have 2 different apartments. Does this allow us to qualify for single status? We do not qualify for head of household because we do not have dependents. The reason we'd like to file as single is that we have a significant amount of loans, and its our understanding that if you file as married, you can only make one deduction in the amount of 2500, whereas if you file as single, we can each deduct 2500. We each have a lot of itemized expenses.

So me and my ex are not together and my son stays with her and i get him 3 days a week. Well she has no job and the people she lives with are not related to my son. Last year she just had her mother do it(whom my son did not even live with)

Is it true that you switch every year on who claims the child? Also I was thinking if I was to do it, I would have my mother file because I only have been working for a month this year(im on ssd).

Can me or my mom get into trouble for doing this? I mean I heard that if your not related to the child you can't even claim him anyways..Oh and I asked her a few months ago and she said she will think about it but she plays game and I doubt she will sign any type of form. So I was thinking of just doing it anyways and telling her. Tips?
