I am a 19 yr old college student. I am sick of retail and the food industry is too stressful and a crappy environment. I want a job that is going to have better pay and hours. Do you guys have any suggestions? Anything at all. I really don't want to stay at Target (or somewhere just at bad) for $7.00 an hour for the next 3 years im in school. Ugh. I live in Houston, Texas. Link me to a site if you know of any. : )

I worked at Lonestar Steakhouse for almost 2 years and I was SOOOO sick of it, then I started working at my college as a student worker, and I love it! The pay is good, and so are the hours. I get to work my hours around my class schedule, and I basically just get to do my homework during work! I've also met alot of cool people at my college by working there, it's great. After working at a restaurant for so long, it's so much less stress!

Go to your college's Career Placement office; they will have lists of open poisitons that are seeking college students, as well as other resources that you should be taking advantage of. Also, check into any open positions available at the college itself; colleges have many positions to fill, and it couldn't be more convenient for you.

If you have a good driving record, UPS, FEDEX, or auto parts stores need delivery people.
