We are thinking of hiring a mobile bar for our outdoor wedding reception.
The cost is £300 with £250 refundable deposit.
To have the bar there for about 8 hours they have a minmum spend across the bar of £1800, otherwise you lose your 250 deposit and also have to pay the remaining difference.
We will have approx 100-120 guests, majority normal drinkers, some quite heavy.
Im my head im thinking it would be easy to reach the 1800 limit and therefore the bar would actually only cost us £300 as we would receive the deposit back, but my panic-y side is ..well.. panic-ing!
What do you guys think, would this rate sound acceptable to you?

Let's saythat I have $200,000 in cash. I want to purchase a house that is $180,000. Would I be better off, finacially, if I took out a mortage loan and invested my cash holdings or if I paid the house off in one payment and invested my would have been monthly mortage payment money?

I found a coop that I am interested in purchasing. I intend on pulling up the carpet when I move in but one of my concerns is this... what if the wooden floors under the carpet are in terrible condition? My broker said it was impossible to lift a huge area of the rug b/c the people living there would need to move furniture etc. He seems to think it will be in mint condition. What if it is not after I purchase the place? What can I do to protect my investment?

My wife and I want to retire to Tennessee. We know of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Fork, and one of my co-workers retired to Lexington (nevr been there myself). We would like in or near the mountains. BUT, cost of land is important to us. For example; where we live, 1/4 acre cost $60,000-$150,000.00; which we CANNOT afford. Any land UNDER $30,000 that we can build a retirement house (or manufactured home) on in Tennessee? NO communities with monthly maintenance fees!! no retirement communities. Thanks for the help.

My Credit card was stolen, and someone ran over $1000 on it at Wal-Mart. Is there any way I can find out what was purchased, and possibly track this person if they bought electronics, like a PC? The cc company said they would investigate, but I always hear that nothing comes of taht. Please help, or am I just S.O.L.?

I am thinking about lending about $5000 to people in need. Is it possible I could double it within 6 months or is it not worth the risk?????

I am thinking about lending it to people with low scores at over 20% interest.
