This is the situation, I'm a small business owner in a shopping center with about eight other small businesses. I'm directly next to a bar that allows smoking and drinking. I have no problem with that however what I do have a problem with, is the smoke that lingers from the bar and enters into my store. I mean it's to a point where my customers are complaining about it and now not even coming back to do business due to the smoke from the bar. I'm not the only tenant that has complained about this problem and he the landlord keeps saying he don't know what to do. Now I've put this in writing to him and he has received it because I sent it certified mail about two weeks ago and he has yet to respond. On top of the smoke every other week there is vomit in front of my store that I have to clean that is coming from the customers of the bar that had a little too much to drink. All of this the landlord knows about and is not doing anything about. My business is being affected by this. Help me

I quit because my job was given to another person & I was "given" a new job I hated. It was me and 11 2 year olds. Needless to say I was slightly out numbered and I didn't like the odds. I was scared to death that someone would get hurt.

You have two managers, a strong one and a weaker one. When dealing with large retail businesses, management tends to focus on the top 20% and bottom 20% as pertains to sales & profit performance. Do you place the stronger manager in the top 20% store to keep it thriving or in the bottom 20% store to bring its numbers up? Where do you place the weaker manager?

ok i always get confused when doing my W-4 for my taxes, i just started a new job and i dont know wether to put a 1 or a 0 for the total number of allowances. I know you can either get more taken out of your weekly check and get back more at the end of year tax time. or vice versa...

I've seen it posted on here a few times and I'm sure I'll see more of it. I have heard it from some people who I would otherwise have thought intelligent. Isn't everyone required to read the Constitution in school?

Now into my last year of graduate school I have several loans with Access Group. The first year I received a very high rate (12.75%). Initially I did not question it. However, last year I realized that a previous creditor mistakenly sent an account to collection in between the time I checked my credit (in July) and applied for credit (in August). I have since cleared the collection from my credit, but Access says that won't reassess old loans. My subsequent loans are much lower in interest and I firmly believe that I received such a high rate because of the erroneous collection. I am accruing a considerable amount of interest due to a mistake by a creditor. What can/should I do?

I am in the process of buying a Condo. If everything goes well, I'm going to have my condo by the end of November. The thing is I don't want to pay my rent and my mortgage on december. So I am trying to figure out if there is a way, that I don't pay my last month of rent and just tell the landlord that keep the deposit ( that is one month of rent). Do you think this would work?? Or he can say no way?

I want to stay in my apartment for the month of december so I can do an organize and gradually move.

What do you think about this sounds logic? Or I have no chance? By the way the apartment is in good condition I don't think he can complain about anything so anyway he is suppose to give me my deposit back, so at the end it's the same.

I recently got a promotion in which I am in charge of several people in a shop. I have been there 4 years . Most people there have been alot longer. Most people respect the position I have now. Some though, do things that I am not sure they would do if lets say the former supervisor was still there. I suspect that some of the employees feel that I am an easy going guy and that i will let many things slide. But i am not sure when and where to draw the line. I have made it clear to everybody that warnings will be issued if they are caught doing things on the clock against the handbook. And yet some persist on testing me by boldly smoking when its not break time. They just tell me things like we clocked out to smoke.

I'm currently at Key Bank and am having serious issues with them. After mentioning this to several people, I guess they're a really BAD bank to be with (I haven't heard one good thing).
My grandma (who often makes deposits into my account - yay grandma!) suggested that I switch to Chase bank (her bank - would make it easier to transfer money haha). Does anyone know anything about Chase bank that would be helpful in making this decision, or any other bank for that matter? I intend to thoroughly do my research this time, instead of going to a bank because it's giving out free iPods with their accounts...though I'm honestly not surprised they had to resort to that with their terrible service!
Thanks in advance!
