OMG...I like that! Really! Yes, I find it true, cuz it's saying that with experience, things happen earlier than they're supposed to. You get the necessary information afterward instead of beforhand when it is much needed. Haha...that's cool! =) ♥

False. Experience is everything because that is what real life is all about, not the classroom hypothesis or theories filled with assumptions (many of these assumptions are invalid, only made there so that the model will work)
A person learns to think on his feet, not shifting through correct models, placing values on writing large quantities of information. I am not saying that these things have no value, but they grow less important if the practical man is able to make more than the College grad simply because he has no bias on reasoning, which sometimes books does. Not always true of course, but successful business owners consider all options, sometimes neglected by those bi-spectacled Professors who view the world in terms of reasonings not always correct ... ... thus they are known as people living in the ivory tower.
In the real world, the results are what counts, not fluffy stuff that sounds interesting.
If you had two people to follow only, and one was filled with loads of information but he has obviously failed in terms of "success" as defined by material wealth and the other owns luxurious homes everywhere ... ... who will you follow?

It's actually the best teacher, because the lessons at the end are the ones you remember. You always forget the lessons before the test, but you remember the lessons after the test. It's like learning from your mistakes: you rarely forget the lessons learned from those mistakes.

I disagree with the statement because the lesson comes from the failure of the test. I like this one better:
"Good judgment comes from experience and experience comes from bad judgment."

Yes i love that quote b/c i think its totally true a lot of the time that we experience things- mostly negative things. It makes us learn from our mistakes in life and the next time we encounter that "test" we will have the knowledge to ace it.

Not completely.
While it is true that experience is the most EFFECTIVE teacher, as we learn better when there is a negative effect from our behavior, it would be better if we could learn from listening to others, notably our elders and teachers. That way we could avoid the pain.

WOW....that's a great quote.
But I really think that experience is the the best teacher actually, because there's no other way to get to the front lines.

but at least after you get the lesson you will know what to do the NEXT time.
My favorite is: Experience is a wonderful teacher: It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

Absolutely true. You never seem to understand "the lesson" until you have already weathered "the test".
