I have 3 cards that i've recently lost control of because I just recently switched jobs and couldn't afford to pay them. I don't want to be irresponsible and just let them go, but I am about $200 over the limit on all three, which is a lot for me to pay off as I don't make a lot and I have a lot of bills. I am starting to get slapped with late fees and over the limit fees. Will the companies work with me? Any suggestions on how to get the companies to do so?

I have currently received an offer from a job and have other interviews lined up, but I have interviewed several times with the job I really want. Having an offer that has a start date of September 1st, how do I let the other job know that I need a decision so that I don't lose out on another offer? I want to basically pressure them into a decision, tactfully and without seeming overbearing.
I have been told that I am a top candidate and I am "nearing the finish line", but I have exactly two weeks to either accept or decline other offers. Any suggestions?

In really really simple terms, please tell me why I have an escrow acct, after buying a house, and what is it used for? I pay the homeowner's insurance myself now, so that's not what it's for. Is it money set aside for future investments, like buying another house or getting a loan? We've owned the house for 10 yrs now. If we sell this house, what becomes of the escrow acct? Is it my money? If it's the bank's money, why is it my account??? Where did this come from in the first place??? Remember, please keep it simple. Thanks!

I got caught in the payday loan scam. I needed money to pay bills and before i new it i was getting loans to pay back other loans. They were taking money out my account and the bank ended up closing my account. It has been 2 years and this man calls me threatening to send a detective to take me to jail for bank fraud. I told him i would make arrangement tos pay the bill but he said i had to pay the full amount. He will not send to me in writing how much is owed. When i called the number back they don't even say what company it is. What should i do? He said if i don't pay by Wednesday they will send someone to arrest me in front of my family or at my job.

I rent in California?

I have lived at my unit for almost 2 years and have been through 3 owners. I recently recived a notice of eviction giving me 60 days to leave. I just finished initial walk-through.

The only finding that they noted was that they are going to charge me to repaint my kids room. My kids room is pink and purple and they want it a neutral color to re-rent it out.

Can they charge me or deduct this from my deposit?

I then sent the payment to the new loan holder and it was returned also, with the note no loan found I have since had three payments returned, and neither company has an record of my mortgage. No communication of default or foreclosure has been recieved. There is no record of mortgage on my credit report whatsoever. What course of action should I take? Please help. Thank you.

The price that is listed on the net is that the price you pay to own the house or is that the amount of money that the previous owners got the house repoed?

I put I was exempt on my W-4's in March but, i changed it last month July because I realized I was earning too much to be exempt. As a result they haven't taken enough out from my paychecks. Is there anyway I can have this resolved now before the end of the year is over? Am I going to have to go to jail? The amount I made was around 6,000 dollars. I am a good student, dean's list with a double major. I had hoped to apply to graduate schools in the fall. I have no criminal record. Is this one mistake going to ruin my life? Is there anyway I can pay back what I owe now?

It's not that big of a house. The previous owner's stripped the copper piping from under the house.

(that's another side question.. isn't copper only found in older houses?)

I have some friends in this business that will work for $10/hr to get the work done. But how long could it possibly take? I can finance all the supplies that will be needed.. just the labor is starting to freighten me.

I am buying a home based on my income and credit. My boyfriend will be living w/me. (We've been together 3 years). On some paperwork they mailed for me to sign, I noticed it had his income listed in the paperwork. Nowhere did it mention "co-owner or co-signer". It just had his name and income. Does this make him a partial owner?
The statement above his name was 'list all persons that will live in the home'. ..Just wondering. Thanks for your replies!!

My neighbors have three families illegally living in a tiny apartment. On top of that, they blast music all night to the point my walls are shaking. They also deficate in the stairway, and throw brown liquid all over the apartment doors on my floor. Everybody on my floor sees this, but no one has the balls to report it! I reported all of this to The Mangament office for my New York City Housing complex a year ago, they gave me a lame excuse basically saying that they can't point any fingers! I demanded that they investigate for themselves, which they said they would, and a year later, nothing has change! No one in Housing is doing their f***king job. My hair is falling out from the stress! I don't know what is coming out of that apartment! They live right next to me and have also sprayed painted my door which I've reported to the police and to housing! I really need some advice. Please help!

I am 23 years old and my salary is $50,000.
My employer matches dollar for dollar up to 5%.
I am risk tolerant.

I am leaning towards this way of allocate my investments:
Large Cap Value Index Fund (Russell 1000 Value): 20%
S&P 500 Index Fund (S&P 500): 55%
Small Cap Index Fund (RUSSELL 2000): 15%
International Large Cap Index Fund (MSCI EAFE): 10%

These are the other funds I can allocate to:
Short-Term Fixed Income Fund
Stable Value Fund
Government Inflation-Protected Bond Fund
Core Bond Fund
Intermediate Bond Fund
High Yield Bond Fund
Large Cap Value Fund
Growth and Income Fund
Large Cap Growth Index Fund
Large Cap Growth Fund
Mid Cap Value Fund
Mid Cap Growth Fund
Small Cap Core Fund
Small Cap Blend Fund
International Large Cap Value Fund
International Large Cap Core Fund
International Small Cap Fund

Should I diversify the portfolio more? I want to stay completely away from bonds however...

Thanks for all of your help!

My husband and I are moving to Tampa within the next month. We are looking for something within the 33634 to 33607 zip code. I've heard thats a very nice area, has a nice mall, etc. The only other location we'd be looking at is clearwater beach.

What ways reliable and trustworthy ways are there to find townhomes and/or condos in that area?

It's for my economics class, and I will use $10,000 fake dollars and buy shares from at least three companies. Then I will follow them along and will see how much money I either made or lost.
