Ok, I'm doing some job hunting. On every application, there's a "reason for leaving" slot. Here's my reason for leaving: I'm tired of being taken advantage of and walked all over. Managment is VERY corrupt and lazy. Managment priorities are in the wrong place (more than willing to throw me under the bus when it comes time to get a bonus). I've been told to completely IGNORE the customers unless they specifically ask for my assistance (they're too focused on paper work), and i do NOT agree with it.

ok, so how do i put that in a more eloquant (sp?) sentence? hahaha

My house needs loads of work doing. I bought it mortgage free after my divorce. Trouble is I've got no money. I'm in my 50's, should I get a loan or mortgage and hang on to the house until I retire or should I sell it and buy a flat? (depressed about doing that) I've lived here for 6 years and my attempts at DIY have only made it worse, but the thoughts of having to pay off a loan means I have to carry on doing a job I hate.(Badly need a change of career, but the pay is good). If I sell it in the state its in now I will have to sell at a much lower price. Has anyone got any idea's? It's a small 2 bedroom house worth about 250K. I haven't got space for lodgers as my daughter lives with me.

I am a rising senior in college and I am interested in working with a corporation's philanthropy or community development sector. Most corporations have foundations to support their community interests/giving but they don't provide information about how to become employed with these foundations. No information is listed in their career/jobs section either (most results are the popular finance/engineering jobs). Furthermore, philanthropy/non-profit job search websites don't return results for major companies. Can someone tell me how I can get my foot in the door for this industry?

I am only 19 and would like to start investing in some stocks. I don't know how to do this. But I am not much of a gambler, so I would like to invest under 200. I saw I could buy Apple stock for 119, but I don't trust the website. Any suggestions or comments???

I want to start a nonprofit organization, the problem is... I have no idea where to begin. I want to make it for underprivledged kids who live here in the United States (yes, they do exist).

What do I do though? Ideas, suggestions... anything!?

Thank you.

Okay, so gambling winnings must be declared as taxable income for federal and state taxes.

What happens if you happen to win a big prize on the exact same day you move from one state to another? Which of the 2 states do you pay state income tax to? Are you stuck paying to both states?

State A you lived in the first 5 months out of the year. State B you lived in the remaining 7 months.

Again, the taxable income (value of the winnings) was incurred on the exact day you moved from State A to State B.

I own an appraisal company and when we get a call for an order to do an appraisal. The loan officer always wants to fax the order. I tell him or her we do not accept faxed orders or phone orders it must be done by email because we can't read the fax. I Tell them 0 look like 9 and 9 looks like 8, you can't read the names or the numbers. I give them our email and they never send the order. What is up with you guys.
