Important detail is that I do not own a home, property, etc.
This is credit card debt with maxed interest rates

What I don't understand is because of my annual income, if a bank etc. lent me money at a good interest rate to purchase a home, my salary would be enough to cover the mortage etc. if I was just lent enough to use a portion for consolidating the credit cards.

Example-not my figures:
$50,000 debt
$200,000 mortgage lending

Purchase home that is $150,000 and pay off debt with remainding $50,000

Due to significantly lower mortgage rate, and the high interest cards being consolidated etc. payment is not a problem, which can be proven with paystubs but isn't apparent when looking at credit rating since it is very poor due to the maxed cards etc.

I'm ignorant of how mortgage lending works, for some reason can you not get a mortgage as high as possible but use some funds for other things?

Would banks be open to this arrangement?

Thanks

A company I'm interviewing with wants me to fly to Chicago and I am in NYC. I can't afford to fly out there and stay in a hotel but I'm guessing I shouldn't have to. However, nothing about being reimbursed was brought up. I was simply asked if I could fly to Chicago for an interview (via email), I have not yet responded. How should I proceed?

today. I started the bid relatively low and got this price for it, but if I had advertised it as a buy it now for £75.00 or more it would not have sold. I have seen many of these same bags on a buy it now for £75, £90 and £100 which have not sold, yet, I got over £100 for mine. I am not complaining by the way.

I just do not understand the logic that people want a good deal and therefore want to see the bidding starting low as they feel they will be in with a chance of getting the bag for £10 or something. The reason this logic does not follow for me is that on Ebay there has nto been a single authentic Anya Hindmarch bag [USA version] which has sold for a really low price over the past week ... therefore it is improbable that even if people bid with a low starting price, that the ultimate price will still be low by the time the auction ends....

I know that different incomes are taxed at different rates, but don't quite get exactly how the math works out. If I make just enough to bump me into the next tax bracket, is it possible for me to have less net income?

Here's a hypothetical situation. Last year I made $24k, and was taxed at %10. This year, I made $26k, which puts me in the %20 tax bracket. Last year's net income would then be $21,600, and this year's would be $20,800.

Is that right?

The loan person I went to see, say she just wanted to do the mortgage in my name, not also my boyfriends name, but she stated that she could put his name on the title, what exactly does that mean, does that mean he would legally own half of my house? and in the event that we break up, I would half to give him half my profit from the house if I sell it? Is this a good idea or not? Also what if he currently has judgements against him, could a lein be put on the house? thanks

I wanted to do good, got a job in adult ed. with public school system. Here's some things that happened--
1. The placement test had no validity; I told the admin. No answer. I called the State 'consultant'. She said "Too bad."
2. After 3 months, 1 admin. started hounding me to do data entry. I said ok, but only 2 hours a day. I have carpal tunnel. She said. "Too bad." we all work in pain.
3. I called HR person: she said: "only 2 hours?' we have people with carpal tunnel who type more than that."
4. Had meeting with HR person & admin: Admin said "You should have told us you had carpal tunnel" (But data entry was not on my job duties). HR person just sat there.
5. Asked who was my supervisor and showed my job description. HR person showed me her copy. Name on HR copy was different than mine.
6. HR person drew up letter for my Dr. to sign off on. Duties were completely inaccurate. I was doing data entry 6 hrs/day. Letter said I only needed to do 2 hrs. Letter was total bogus.
??????
