in order for me to have a lower payment, interest, and down payment boyfriend is willing to put the loan in his name for a car, but the car is mine and i make the payments. I want to make a contract stating that if i default it is my responsibitly to pay costs, and that i make all payments for the car, the car is mine and will be insured under my name only, and along the lines, if in the future we were no longer together that when loan is paid for, the title must immediately be signed over to me, and if at different residence the car remains to be mine no matter what. and that to protect his credit, by making all payments. how can i get a contract on such terms or what not?

I don't get these aspects of conspicuous consumption:a) Why do people think that displaying 'high end' consumer goods is some sort of bragging rights? I mean, ok, if someone DESIGNED a car or an electronic gadget I'd be impressed, but all it takes to buy one is..well, money. b) Do people really get suckered into getting numerous credit cards because of ads that suggest getting them is the road to freedom? How could anyone be that dumb?? The CC companies want you to get into debt so they can get rich. A 10-year-old ought to understand that. c) Here's a chicken and egg question: do people pursue 'high end' careers because housing and autos cost so much so you need a tidy salary to get by, or would most people still pursue the same 'cache' type jobs just for the so-called prestige?

My neighbor was burning his ditch when it got out of control and burned about .5 of an acre of my land. It is overgrown with older hardwood trees, the chain-link fence is chared and I had an older model Pinto that was burned. My insurance company says they will not pay anything, neighbors fault his insurance company must pay. Well his insurance company says its only some trees get over it. What about the fence, it will likely rust now won't it? How do I go about getting restitution?

I have been renting this house for $1590 a month for two years now. I am the first tenant of the property since he bought it. His "excuse" for not selling is that when it is paid off in 15 years it will be retirement income for their family. While I completely understand what he is trying to do, wouldn't it be more beneficial for him to make some profit immediately and roll the money over into another property to rent? The community I live in isn't really much of a rental area. There are multiple houses on the same street for sale. Any help and ideas would be great!

I took out an unsecured personal loan to fix a problem with my house. My circumstances change so I am making partial payments. Today I got notice the lender is selling my loan to another one of their out of state branches which is a mortgage lender. I don't have a mortgage with these people. I am thinking they are doing this hoping I will call them so that they can get my number and harrass me again(They called me at all hours of the night and day 7 days a week despite partial payments so I changed my # to an unlisted one) Can a non-mortgage lender sell to their mortgage branch and if so for what purpose? If they report to the credit bureau as a mortgage company, can I challenge owing the money on the grounds I don't have a mortgage with them?

My credit card was charged for 119.00 for online pharmacy, no business name, I had tried to make a purchase, it did not go thru. I did not receive a email or any order # . I have called the credit card company and they say they can not just do a charge back without knowing who the company is.
This does not make sense to me, don't they have that information, since they assign a Merchant ID # to each individual merchant.

It's June 14th. I moved into this apartment on June 1st. I have already seen 3 roaches. I am writing this now because pest control came earlier today to treat the kitchen and I saw one this evening IN THE KITCHEN!!!! 2 babies and the one today was an adult. It's only been 2 weeks, so it's safe to assume that things will only get worse. Moving is tiring and expensive. I could have stayed where I was if I had known this place had pests. What are my rights as a renter? How long should I give the management company to deal with this problem? Can I break my lease? Can I ask for moving expenses?
