How can you make legally 30 dollars legally in 4 hours in a small town with no job... A bookie is gonna break my knees if I don't get 'im all the money. PS I don't like selling my stuff.

My baby right now is 4 months old. I already have a separate educational savings account for his college, but wonder what's the best way to save for him, if I want to have separate funds as well. I also wonder, if a savings account or a CD is opened for him under his own name and social, do I have to file taxes for him? Thanks!

Ok I have been on maternity leave and it was due to finish today (today would be my final pay day), I was required to give a minimum of 28 days notice as to whether I was going back or not, I found another job with better pay and handed in my notice on the 20th December. I had a letter from work saying my final day would be 20th Jan and I would recieve accrued holidays with my final wage (today). I have just looked in my bank and I have not been paid. Can they do this?

I am wondering what will become of this legislation... It seems that many companies are petitioning the government to do away with the requirements for mid-tier businesses (i.e. those SEC, non-accelerated filers) for which the requirements are not yet in effect. Is it me or are people forgetting what just happened to the public in 2000? Management says no to SOx. Isn't management inherently biased?
It appears to me that with Mr. Bush signing the "Pension Protection Act of 2006" that the requirement of internal controls over financial reporting for public companies would be more important for all US workers who are having their cash put into 401(k) plans without their explicit consent. Ofcourse, those that didn't actively choose their retirement options probably don't vote that much and don't realize what is happening to that $ they don't see in their paychecks. I see a big set up for people to lose their futures if the Gov't repeals this law. Am I wrong?

I have been providing more than half of their living expenses for the past years. My parents have been filing joint returns. Can I claim them as my dependents?

This year, my mom will turn 65, and she plans to retire in June. She plans to only work for 6 months and to start collecting social security. They will get around $500/mo combined from SS. May I claim them as my dependents next year? Will that affect their MediCare/MediCal status?

want to start a hedge fund. have been in ivestment doing equity and options trading for last 3 years. some firms are romising to set u up for $80K. I think what they do, any one can do for far less.
What are the regulatory requirements?, what are the monetary requirements? Would like to start the hedge fund in Resl estate investment, and /or Equity investment in options, also investments in stock markets in india and china. Any ideas?

On an application form I filled in prior to starting my current job, there was a question asking if I was gay. Now although this question does not concern me as such, there is some debate in the office as to whether or not it is either illegal or just irrelevent to ask this on an application for employment. Can anyone answer this question. If relevent, the form in question was submitted about 5 months ago.
