I know I will have to when I take money out of the fund, but until I access it, I'm thinking I don't have to. Please let me know if I'm mistaken on that.

I filed form 1040A for my federal, but accidently filed form WI-Z for my state. Do I have to file form 1X since I used form WI-Z instead of 1A, or does it not really matter? Income and everything is the same.

I purchased vacant land 2 years ago and plan to sell it within the next few months. I haven't used it for any purpose the last 2 years, so I'm assuming it's considered investment property. Originally I had planned to build on the land, but now that I'm moving to a different city I need to sell the land.

I have 2 questions:

1. Are real estate taxes deductible on investment property? If so, are they reported in the same place as the real estate taxes I report for my primary residence?

2. I'll probably break even on the property or even sell at a loss. Would this be considered a capital loss (if I consider it to be investment property)?

Thank you!

My husband is in the military. We have a 2 month old son. I havent had a job in over a year. Should my husband file seperate and claim both of us as dependents, or should we file jointly and claim only our son? Which would give us a higher tax return? We don't own any assets other than a vehicle.

The name of the game is playing with Intel, there is money to be made on the spreads. Can I legally trade often in an IRA? Man, I have spent hours trying to find this damn thing out, a CPA/financial planner has got to have the answer on this.

say a company is considering someone that hasn't really done anything to deserve being fired - other than their personality doesn't click with the higher ups - could they legally fire that person or would they have to lay them off - isn't it more costly for the company to lay someone off because of the severance package? just wonder if there are legal standards in place so that companies aren't allowed to just fire someone at will without just reason.
