I have am supposed to close escrow on a condo in California tomorrow. The selling agent agreed to fix one thing in the place, which was supposed to be done on Monday. She did not inform us whether the fix was done, she is not returning our calls, and she took off the lockbox to the place (meaning that we can't check to see if the repair was done, nor can we do a final walk through, as specified in the contract). What are my legal rights here? Should I still go forward?

It seems that at any job I've had, everyone is complaining about how crazy hard they have to work to stay on top of things. I spend a lot of my day on the internet but am always considered a top producer. Am I that much better than them or are they lying about how hard they're working?

It's me and my husband and he's active Navy. (He's getting out, it's not for him) I work full-time and he's getting out within the next few months. And I am nervous about this change. Anyone been in this situation? Where are the best places to look for government type jobs? He was only in for 5years and he's an Electronic Technician with a Top Security Clearance. Is it really hard to find a job? Any advice? Thank you!!

PS Yes, we have started his resume and have websites with jobs...but I just wanted to hear about people who have been in this situation...

We are shopping around and did get approved for a $250,000 HELOC with a 8.25% interest rate. Is this a good rate? I mean compared to a credit card it is (owe $3,000 at 16% interest) but how about as a Line of credit?

I have been divorced from my ex for 4 years and he now lives in another state and has dementia. Before we married he lived in that same state and moved here to be with me. I have never made enough to file taxes before this year, and this year my ex got a letter from the IRS with my name on it. He got it in California, which I have never lived in, and this letter states that I owe taxes for a year before we even married, showing his California address as mine. This is obviously a mistake. These are owed from a buisness he owned before wqe were even married. We married a year later and filed jointly on tax returns. So because they have my info and can't find him, the IRS says I'm responsible because we filed a joint return a year later and his debt became mine. How could that be when we were not married the year the taxes are owed? Can I file innocent spouse? The IRS says that if he doesn't pay it, I have to pay it. My ex says he's just going to ignore it. Help!!!

Hi-

My younger brother just passed his CA(Chattered Accountancy) Inter. Now a gap of 2 and 1/2 years is there for appearing in the final paper, during which he need to undergo articleship, with an auditing firm. Wanted some pointers on different financial certifications/courses available that will make him better suited in the current market scenerio. How about the option of going for Oracle Financial Courses, if they provide any? Thanks a lot.
