I am confused about how to count off medical expenses- I was in the hospital in August 2006 and haven't received a final bill. Do you deduct your costs (I know 7.5% of income) for the year charges were made or the year(s) you pay the charges off?

I had a secured credit card with bank of america ( bad credit due to past marriage) right before christmas I had 2 fradulent charges on my card. So I called the bank and asked them if I could get a new card with a different number, they said they couldn't do that, so I just disputed the charges. I then tried to use my card a couple days later, it declined. I called the bank and they said the card was closed. I didn't request for it to be closed. They won't reopen it, and now it has dropped my credit score 10 points. What can I do? I have never been late on the payments, they even recently upped my credit limit without me depositing more money. I am so ticked at them right now.

Ok, so one of my passions is drawing and over the years i have developed alot of characters and such, and I have constantly been told i should turn my designs into products. So my question is, I would really like see my designs on shirts, makeup bags, and so on, i just want to know how do it? Ive heard something about licensing companies or trade shows? I have only about $5000 to get it started but I really want it to look professional, not one of those generic tshirt websites (cafepress), ive seen. Anyways id appreciate all the help i can get :) thanks

these companies negotiate with unsecured debt creditors to lower interest rates & lower the total amount due to the creditor. Then your monthly payment is also lowered. You would then pay that lowered amount to just one creditor at a time until they are paid off then you start paying to the next. The creditors that are waiting to be paid show up every month on your credit report as 30,60,90,etc days past due.

I have a property in California that I was unable to sell when I moved out of state. I currently have renters occupying it, but they only pay about 50% of the monthly expenses on the property. It is killing me financially to support the property. I think selling it for what I owe plus realtor fees in the current market conditions would be unlikely. What could I expect if I contacted the bank and simply said you can have it?

I'm 24 working for Nationwide Insurance (which has growth annually based on clients) and would like to know which investment fund would be best to look at, at this time. I own a home and plan on moving w/in 3 years. Would it be better for me to invest long-term (IRA, 401k- no match) or to save for a loarger down payment on next home in anticiapation of children?

Appreciate all suggestions

my mom gave me $10,000 as a gift and am wondering the best way to invest it, whether it is long term, short term, CD or IRA - maybe ROTH.. not sure what is the best? i have my pension in stocks but am not comfortable even to risk 10K on my own. i am married, living in NJ and we make less then $70k.

i am leaning toward ROTH, but am not exactly clear on it, can i just put in the $10,000 or do i have to contribute EVERY year?
thanks

I only have 2 PT jobs, and haven't had a decent job w/the hrs. I really need--as it feels like FOREVER now!! Tired of feeling guilty because my husband works so much all the time, and I keep applying for jobs all over the place. It used to be so easy to get work when the economy was a lot better, i mean in a certain way it must've been obviously because there's only 1/5 the ads in the local paper now and for a long time now for work.
anyway, I applied for this job, and was interviewed Tuesday :o) the interview went well and already work pt w/this merchandising co. but there were other interviews......
Please PRAY I hear the GOOD news and I GET it!
Thank u, :o)
