I haven't checked this out specifically for Calella, But I have never yet been disappointed - where ever I have chosen to go - by Holiday Autos ('Google' them), who sub-contract car hire to bona fide local (resort based) organisations. But Spanish resorts, inc Calella and Santa Susanna are full of bargain basement car hire shops - and they are cheap and good value, just so long as you check the paperwork and (crucially!) see /check the car, before signing up/ driving off. Two years back, in Girona, I hired a Renault Clio, 2000 miles on the clock, from a little local outfit, and beat them down to £8 a day - great value.
