Be confident in your mind, shake your hands with the person to whom you are going to. If it is a set of persons be calm and patiently shake hands with one by one politely.
This is the first step.
See the person in to his eyes. (But the manner that will make the person affraid of your character). This should be done with a smile piercing his eyes puple.
One person at a time, see his or her eyes and say " HELLO SIR"/ MADAM"
I am Mr. " iNITIAL". XXXXXXXX.
You should never have an inferiority complex running through your spine.
You should not feel that you will lose the opportunity or you are in an inferior position of losing.
Be confident - with a sense of feeling that you are born in this world with an unique talent that is only with you. (This is in fact true). You would have failed in your college or school days . Done badly with your friends or mates. You would have been scolded publicly or in private by a person. Never mind that. Your friend would have got a good girl mate which you could not get. So what . World is not these alone.
It is a paradise full of pleasure and wealth. Even, the ant or bee just moves around to get its pleasure. So are we. Have this feeling and you will become confident person in that situation.

Now, comes telling about you.
Do not say your age or date of birth at the first instant.

Say about your academic qualification.
Tell about your last added qualification.
Then say about what is your thought with which you have come for.
Then say about how you get aligned to that person's or organisations call.

Then slowly say about your talents inline with the person's expectations.

STOP in the middle after a minute or two, wait a while to check whether the person is listening to you so that he get a good feedback signal of confidence.

Gear up your momentum, now, start telling about your acheivements matching this need.

Say in polite simple words about your family back ground and your chronolgy.
Now, if anything to add about you do it (sports, or other extraordinary )

This you must finish in a max. of 5 to 8 minutes. (just thing if you are in that person's position, what will be your expectation and how long it will take for you to understand a novice person).

Start with a smile and wish .
Then say, sir/ma'm let me introduce myself in my own words..My name as u may be knowing is...& so on...but waiting for them to ask more questions, or if they are quiet, you too can slowly and steadily introduce yourself. If possible take a friend with you who can praise you a little, but you yourself..should'nt boast!
