currently I need an extra $5,000 to buy a car from a private seller.
How would I go to doing this? I've never took out a loan before so I'm not sure of the procedure. I just need the money temporaily and hopefully when I get my taxes back I'll be able to pay a decent amount of it back.
I can't seem to find a site that would give me $5,000 for a 12 month payment period. I don't like to have a long payment period. Any help is appreciated

I work for a start up cocoa processing plant (only opened 2 months ago). So far I have little to no assign tasks. I've tried asking my bosses for more work and they say okay, but never give me any. I try to just do things around the office, but there is not much to do becuase this is a start up company. I end up surfing the web all day and even that is getting annoying. HELP.

I feel it's a violation of your privacy. I mean, I can understand why cops, drivers and others in "safety sensitive" positions are subject to drug testing, but is it really necessary to drug test the grocery store cashiers and secretaries? If so, why?

I have read a few books and have become interested in stock options. I am a looking for a way to test myself without losing my shirt. Ultimately, my goal is to work from home around trading hours so that I can support my children in their after school activities. I don't need to be rich but it would be nice to be self sufficient.

My husband is about to start a job where he is classified as self-emplyoed. His salary will start at $31k per year. I am a student, and we have 1 daughter. About what percentage should we set aside for taxes? (I know you can't give me an exact answer, but I just need a worse case scenario)

I got hired by a company and relocated out of state to work at the new position. The company paid some relocation costs and increased my salary to get me to sign on, which I gladly did.

My daughter is terminally ill. We have lots of dr.'s appointment and she gets sick often. I usually keep her appt.'s very organized and don't take any other vacation time off, except when I need to be with her. I had been with my previous company for 6 years, so we had it all pretty much worked out.

So... of course as soon as I got here, like within a month, she landed in the hospital for 6 days.

If you were my boss, would you be disappointed that you recruited me from another state to come work for you and then I show up with personal problems?

I worry about this. I wonder sometimes if I ethically should explain this information before someone hires me. Would you want some kind of disclosure in this situation?

On Dec 14th I made a huge payment spread through all my credit cards reducing most to $0 and leaving low balances on the rest ($20,000 paid towards revolving credit of $30,000). How long before it is reflected in my credit score? It's been over a month and I don't see any change.

I live in OH. I inherited an IRA in 2006. I closed the account out ($25,000) and asked that they take out the appropriate amount in taxes (so I wouldn’t get hit with owing at tax time and might get money back). They informed me that I had to tell them how much I wanted taken out (what %). I am now hoping I did a good job of overestimating– but am fearful. I had them take out 30%. They then deducted $7,500 off the $25,000. How did I do? (Gezzz I hate tax time.) Also, does Turbo Tax accept information related to something like this? Or would it be better if I went to a human with tax knowledge ?

How is this so! I would think there is going to be a set amount that you are going to get back if you give them the exact information. H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt companies like that
