a few years back ATT was taken over by cingular now ATT is taking back Cingular. I used to have ATT and when I wanted to upgrade att nights started at 7pm and cingular started at 9pm so I lost out there so maybe but probably not they will go back to 7pm .The service with both AT&T and then cingular has been great for us. We switched from Verizon because we had nothing but problems with them. It depends where you live which service is better. With all those extra fees they charge ( all phone co) they are not as cheap as they advertise (you have to read the fine print- need good eyesight)

The ATT part of it is a hox. ATT went belly up and the name (only) was purchased by another company about a year (?) ago.

Who cares, they have terrible customer service and I'm switching to anybody else at my first opportunity.
I don't think the service will get any better just because of a name change.
