bought furniture on 10/06 and paid in full. It is now January and the store is telling me that my order will not be received in the store until February 07--almost 5 months after orignal payment. What can I do?!?

Check the paperwork, if the condition of sale is that you have to wait. Then you have to wait. If there is a time limit for your waiting, you can cancel or seek restitution as the written contract permits.

You've learned a painful lesson. Never pay for furniture, or for that matter anything to be delivered later, using cash. Always pay by credit card. It's easy to dispute using a credit card.

Furniture stores are notorious for going out of business and not delivering products.

At this point, I'd demand a full refund since I'm assuming that was not the original agreement. If they don't give you one, I'd take them to small claims court.

Cancel your order. Tell them to refund the money. If they don't you can contact your credit card company and tell them they never delivered it. They should refund your money (after you fill out forms).
