I read in this morning's paper that Dontrelle Willis, pitcher for the Florida Marlins, will see his salary rise from the 4.35 million he made last year to the 6.45 million he'll make this year. We're talking here about a man who won 12 games and lost 12 games last year! If that isn't less than impressive, then I don't know what is. Baseball seems to have way of making mediocrity look like something for which a person should receive a 3 foot tall trophy! Someday, the sport is going to pay for the way it so carelessly throws around its money. It's bound to happen.

A friend of mine insists that saving money is more important than paying off credit cards. I advised her to take the money earmarked for savings and add it to her credit card payment. Her co-worker (a self-proclaimed financial expert) advises her that savings is most important but I'm not sure he knows about her debt situation. While I agree with her co-worker, the fact remains that paying off credit card debt at 14% takes priority over saving at 2%. The only exception I could think of was "emergency savings" which I do believe should take priority over credit card payments. Am I correct?

She is targeting him and attacking whatever he does. She is lumping him in a catagory of being one that is not doing his job. It is untrue! The employees that are slackers don't get confronted or if they do she includes my husband. If it weren't for him and another employee nothing would get done. Everyone must be intimidated by her as no one seems to want to stand up to her.Even the man in charge has no back bone and lets her do what is not her job. There is no team effort on the job.She came in to my husbands work area and took down pictures he had of his grandson and daughter.Kind of silly...He doesn't know what to do.He doesn't want to talk to her because she seems to hate the world or her job or something. Any suggestions ?

I have a coworker that works on the other side of a divider from me... he constantly makes noises and talks to himself. One day he even cried out for his mommy?!?! Seriously and he's 53 yrs old! He makes sounds that makes it sound like he's a money and god knows what else. He also likes to sing... which wouldn't be that bad if he'd sing the right words, but he's usually a 1/2 verse off and completely out of tune! He's nice, but dumber then anyone I know and drives me completely insane with the constant noises and such.

I am into the whole music scene and promoting bands, and I do a little bit of promoting for capitol records and so forth. I would like to know how or what I should do to pursue a career in that, as in promoting for bands or other various things that could get me into shows for free and have the straight up hook up. I have been able to get in some shows for free already through promoting but I want my life career dedicated to it because I looovee concerts and bands and all that stuff. Soooo, what should I do to have my career that and be paid to promote instead of just getting a free show? =)
