We are a small business that has a large customer in europe. They pay us by Euro's and to be quite frank the bank rips us off in charges and with a bad exchange rate. Is there a cheaper and more cost effective way for them to pay us?

Hi everybody, I make delicious breakfast tacos, burritos and sandwiches. I live close behind the "motor mile" which is a long stretch of car dealerships. I'm sure all those employees would love to have lunch delivered conveniently if they can't break for lunch sometimes. I could sell to them homemade food at a good price but I have no idea what type of license I'd have to get and how much it would cost. I live in Texas. I don't plan on doing this on a grand scale, I just want to make a little extra money. Thanks for your help.

My landlord has taken over 3 months to return my deposit to me & the amount he has returned is way less than I expected. When we moved out of our flat there were a couple of holes made in the walls from moving furniture around but we filled those in. But, he's saying he's been charged £250 for filling them & painting work which seems very steep to me anyway. He's also charged us £40 for cleaning of a stairs carpet which we cleaned ourselves before we left. He didn't actually tell me he was getting this work done, he's just sent me back a cheque minus £290 for this work he says was needed. Am I within my rights to dispute it? Surely he should have consulted me before getting work done so I'd know how much it would cost as I was the one paying?! I could have got a much cheaper decorator in to do this work had I have known I was going to be charged for it. If I can dispute it how would I go about doing so..? Thanks for your help!

I see this from time to time on buildings and trucks, and I know it has to do with international standards of internal quality control, but so? Lots of companies do excellent work without ISO 9000, and most people haven't even heard of ISO 9000. What is the value of posting "ISO 9000" on company buildings and trucks if almost no one knows what it means and don't care?

Hi everybody, I've posted two other questions concerning the computer science degree my daughter is working on in college. She's a freshman (just finished her first semester). From what several people here have said, it's a saturated market, highly competitive and not very rewarding. So, what WOULD be a good field to go into? She's not interested in Law or Medicine. Those would of been great choices but she has no interest there. Nor in Real Estate. Yet, she wants to make over 100,000 a year! Other than computers, she loves art and animals. But can money be made with either of those fields? If not, what are some other profitable professions? I know this seems greedy, but let me explain. She wants to make alot of money so she can help the homeless, donate to charity and give to environmental causes, not to mention animals in peril. So, to give all that money, she'll need to make a fair amount of it! Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.

I sold some stock in 2001 and 2002 and I failed to file my taxes. I have received my tax refunds for the years filed aftwerwards. I sold some short term gain stock those years, and I had very few possible deductions at that time. It is looking like I owe quite a bit of $$ for interest and penalties. I am capable of filling out the standard forms, but not calculating the interest/penalties. Should I consult a tax professional? Will a professional be able to do anything that may help reduce my amount owed. I don't want to make this more costly than it already is.

My friend was fired today but doesn't know exactly why. "It's just not working out" was the reason they gave. It was a high-level finance job that requires a degree.

What should he say in upcoming interviews? (He's pursuing legal action, but that's another story.)
