My husband and I will be buying our first home in about 4 years. I know we got a late start on saving. We're going to be buying a 4+ bedroom, 2+ bathroom in northeastern Oklahoma. I would like to save enough for a downpayment, as well as have money left over to put in new carpet, or paint the walls if need be. I also realize there should be money left after all that, in case something goes wrong and we have to fix or replace something expensive.

How much do you recommend that we save? Please keep in mind that my husband is in the military and we have four children. We're not exactly rolling in the dough here. (Last time I asked this question, in polls and surveys, I got two answers. One suggested that I save $62,500 or $1,300 a month!)

Thanks, in advance, for all your help!

I've been a representative with Primerica since 2003. My problem is I'm afraid of rejection. This is why I don't pursue it as diligently as I should. Can anyone offer me a foolproof method to going up to strangers and starting conversations? I know it's a legitimate company and the services are excellent, but I need a little boost in confidence to get out there and make it happen.

Please provide any positive feedback you can.

the typical job interview consists of stereotypical questions such as "where do you see yourself in 5 years"? "why do you want to work here"? "why do you think you will be an assett to this company"? etc.

what other questions can you think of that are normally asked in a job interview? and what are the best answers for them?

understand that the best answer might not be the truth.

so how can i go into my next job interview confident that i will score big with the big gun.

what are some good things to say that will impress? that will insure a position?

When I return to England I want to send 300 pounds to a friend over here. Although she has a bank account I have had a bad experience with international money transfers from UK bank into Oz bank....took too long and got stung on the exchange rates. Is there a safe way to send cash?

I really want to work for the U.N.,Peace Corps, or maybe foreign service officer...something of that nature. I was just wondering what would be a good major for what I want to do. I like history and have an interest in politics, but not sure if either is a good choice.

Thank you!!!

I am not familiar with the law as far as non-profits go. Could I legally be entitled to a portion of what the organization earns? I would be responsible for setting up fun raisers and events on the companys behalf, could I write that into the corporation?

I am planning to go to Mumbai and I have already been there so I like it very much. Currently I am in New Delhi. I am planning to relocate in Mumbai but I am not sure if I can easily get a room on rent there. I would like to stay in some hostel or in a family house. I can afford my rent between 1000 - 1500 Rs. per month.

Any suggestions?
