Try fax endemnity - but not sure if you'll need your pals signature for this. Cheque will mean currency tranfer charges in OZ so won't get full £300. You can send via mail get it tracked and pay a bit extra on the insurance - this can be done via the Post Office. Good lucx

If i were you i wouldnt send cash, espically if there is a lot of it because you run the risk of getting it stolen. I would transfer it from your bank account to the person your sending it to's bank account or you could write a cheque and send that in the mail. :)

The way the banking and exchange system works these days, I would say owl post. Failing that long range carrier pidgeons working in relay. Bloody birds will at least get it there!

the ONLY way to send cash safely is western union, but like everything it costs. about 10% i think, but it will get there. else ask your bank for a aus$ cheque to send takes 3 days to get to you then you post it to her. thats how i sent money this year to oz. costs about £15,00
good luck.

I think using Paypal is a fast easy way of doing it... Or Moneybookers... If you both have an account all you have to do is transfere it from your account to your friends, its simple....
