I am 15 and thinking about a career in the police. I am quite skinny but I am physikly fit and do running at school. Is this a good job to do?

Does anyone on here have a career in police?

I was wanting to be a police dog handler after 2years but I realised that that job is really hard to get.

I usually work 12 hour days but due to a shortage of shifts the only ones available are nights, which I have had to take. Does anyone have any good advice for preparing for a 12 hour night shift; 8pm - 8.15am? I start Wednesday night, for 2/3 nights. What things can I do to ease my transition when I go back to working days? Thank-you in advance for your answers.

Help. I am divorcing and going to apply for a loan for a house but I know my credit score is low. I am a Disabled American Veteran and while I was seriously ill I did not pay my bills on time. For the past 25 years I have shown outstanding financial responsibility. Now that I had a hardship (I was in and out of hospitals having surgery) it has negatively affected my crdit score. I am REALLY, normally very good about paying my bills. How can I get my credit ranking back up? I have gone back to my "good" ways, but it hasn't helped to raise the credit score. Any other ideas? Will writing to the various companies work? I can't just wait for time to pass because I don't have the time to wait (did that just make sense?).
Thank you all in advance
Randa

I tried to tell the boss I would like to leave. He interviewed someone else but they never turned up for me to show them what to do. He then asked me to stay on. But I feel it isnt for me.

... is either lying or has never had to scrape by paycheck-to-paycheck on minimum wage. Or forgot what it was like to live on Ramen noodles and drive a 10 year old car. Probably had a mommy and daddy who bought them a car, put them through college, paid for their wedding, and helped them with the down payment on their first house. And obtained their first "real" job with someone else's help.

Who disagrees with this statement? And please, unless you're either stuck in a dead-end job that you can't afford to quit or had to put yourself through college and have a student loan payment that's bigger than your car payment, and have had to literally work for everything you have (i.e. no handouts or loans from mommy and daddy to get you started), I'm not interested in your response!

I currently work at a car dealership and the long hours and "unreliable" paychecks are depressing me bigtime.

Why should we all live in debt and pay high interest? Why can we not act our wage and spend less that what we earn? Will we change and what will the consequenses of our debt-riddle life styles be? Is it worth all the stress?

You always have to think of the best trick to persuade him to give you your money. Also what are the best tactics to persuade him to pay you without him giving you stories.

A bad interview? Or being late for the interview? When I came to interview for this job I wanted it so bad. But when I came to it I got a little lost and was about 10 minutes late. I thought for sure I wasn't going to get the job...The interview went great but the whole time I was worried about the tardiness thing. Surprisingly enough they called me the very same day to offer me the job. Has anyone ever felt they weren't going to get the job because of something that went wrong but ended up getting it?

I am a massage therapist at a spa. The two owners are now fighting like crazy people. I can still work with one, but I have no way to get to work and she is the most likely to lose the spa in court. Or I can look for something else and hope the other boss gets the spa...she gives me rides to work too. Should I look now, for a massage job, or should I find something to fill in until this crap is done? Or should I keep working for the boss I don't care for? HELP!

I'm a senior in high school and am planning on taking off the first semester of college this fall... just because I need a break and I know it will do me a ton of good. I will go back! but... if you are not a full time student, you don't have health insurance anymore if you are under your parents'... what i'm wondering is... if you get dropped from being health insurance for not being a full time student, will the insurance pick you back up once you are a full time student again? I know it's only until you are 25 or something... but will they do this? I am going to call my insurance to be sure... just wondering... I don't even know if i'll get dropped in the first place if it's only a semester because I heard something about you can have insurance until you are 19 whether you are a full time student or not... but after that it drops if you are not.. because I will be eighteen when I eventually do start college... anybody have any suggestions?

My boss is really old. Everyone around her Baby's her just to make her think that she is right so that they won't have to argue with her. Would you go to the Human Resources of your company to explain (what they already know) to them?? Or would it not even help??
