I have this same problem at my work, I'm really fast when I work because I don't like wasting time. Everyone gives me a hard time ad says thing like, 'wow I want your job so I can just stand around and do nothing'. Little do they know I get there 3 hours before everyone else to finish my stuff. Your work place is simply that, a work place. No matter what job you have be competitive and do your best. Don't limit your self to make others feel good, you will end up missing out on raises when they come around. By slowing down your just letting people have a chance to top you, Its not your fault that they're lazy. Keep up the good work and when someone says something to you regarding your work ethic just look at them smile and then roll your eyes and go back to what you were doing.

Your in a tough spot. If you are making commission then keep doing what your doing. If your not making commission then you should slow down like your co-workers say. I know that sounds crazy, but that's business, because if your getting paid for your time and not for the work then you want to spread the work out. That way no ones shifts get cut short. If your doing twice as much work as everyone else that means your literally doing someone elses job. If those stats continue, eventually they will cut someones hours, or even position completely. It's situations like this that make USA better than China. A bunch of people working their tail off for an hourly rate for "the good of the company". Lets the company hire 7 people instead of 10, making them richer, and your neighbors poorer.

1. Talk to your supervisor about the way the other employees are treating you. It may feel like tattling, but sometimes it helps.
2. Tell your co-workers that you will do your job your way and to lay off.
3. Offer to show your co-workers your way, if possible. Your supervisor may even set a time for you to teach them how you do your job so well and they may all get done sooner and be able to goof off, too.
4. Don't worry whether you please supervisors or co-workers-- worry whether you please yourself. That is the only thing that will really make you happy.

Good luck!

Calmly explain to them that your productivity is between you and the supervisor. Tell them that there is no need to feel intimidated by you or your productivity as not all people work at the same pace. You respect them for the work they do and appreciate their friendship and hope that they feel the same way. If all else fails, you may just have to become comfortable with the fact that people's jealousies will not allow them to be friendly, courtious or respectful. And please don't forget to respect yourself, you deserve it.

Their grudge is really about them, not about you. They can't keep up so they want you to slow down. Job security starts with number 1. You are not responsible for their inability to do the same amount of work you do.

They are just pissed because you're actually getting your work done and make them look bad. I honestly wouldn't worry about it. Just think if you were to slow down, you're likely to get some on the job counseling because your superiors are going to wonder why your productivity is down. Who would you rather please? Your superiors or your coworkers?
