More than likely, especially as many departments are now insisting on cross training them as paramedics.

it should but firefighters are waaayyyunder paid like police officers

probably a bit, but not that much.

for the service these people provide, we shoud be paying them more. (though with the way it's set up in some locations, they clean up with overtime).
