can a landlord give you only 2 weeks notice to kick you out? ( for no reason other than the fact her family wants the house)

We are friends and it's an oral agreement.It's the wife not the husband doing this I know.

I would call the housing authority in your County and ask. Most states it is a 30 day notice.

It depends on what is stated in your lease. Unless your landlord has this clause written in to the lease, they generally must give you at least 30 or 60 days notice if you are on a month to month lease. It would depend on your local laws.

On a month to month rental agreement. The landlord has to give you 30 days in writing.
Let him kick you out....Take him to small claims for unauthorized eviction. Take your proof...You will win!

Depends on what country/state you live in and what the lease agreement says if you have one. Read your lease.
