Its not that I don't feel those are smart suggestions.

I don't use a phone book nor does anyone I know. & this is a large corporation, so I'm not really game on calling it Somers Medical Corporation, I want a real Corporation Name Like Providia or Etna INTERNATIONAL.

part of our marketing strategy is to make it so that when someone sees the corp. name, they will want to know what it is, therefore allowing themselves to become interested and create an "impulse buy" awareness factor.

The naming of your business could be one of the most important decisions you will make. A name's originality and legal availability will create a real asset value of its own, as it becomes marketed and gains market acceptance.

The name you choose will become the focal point of all the benefits and features that relate to your business. Customers will be able to find and refer others to it in the future.

Since any names that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I wanted to go a different route...

I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a "name party" & have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research.

I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there.

Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.

Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.

There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I'd either go simple with "Somers Medical Management Corp" (if your moms last name is the same as yours obviously). Or think of something that starts with an "A" like AAA Medical Mgmt, so that it's first in the phone book!

Funny you should ask, I'm starting school next week,,, taking these sorts of classes!!! However, what about: " Medibill-Office Corp", or " HealthCare Office Inc." Or: "Health Management Incorporation", Or: "Office Medical Management Incorporation", or: " Office Medical Billing Needs Inc." Or: " Health Care Business Needs Corp." Or: "Health Care Business Needs Inc." Or: H.B.O./Medical Corp Or: your mother's last name with a medical offices addes to it....... Good-Luck and I hope I was of some help, to you both! Smile!! The short answer is YES -- anytime the private sector runs an organization, it is more efficient, more cost effective, more humane, more organized, and provides better service than a government organization. Just look at private vs. state hospitals. And your question is a bit disingenuous, because Christians as a group already give more money to charities than any other group. The number of people without health care is skewed, because it does not separate the number of people who COULD have insurance but choose NOT to, among other things. The number is also skewed because it includes ILLEGAL aliens -- ILLEGAL aliens that we should NOT have to provide health care for. Further children of low-income parents can already get government health care (aka Medicaid) if their low-functioning lazy-*** parents would just go sign them up for it. I don't think the government should be required to pay for healthcare for people who simply don't want to work (and there are plenty of them). But let me put this back on YOU: Obama's plan calls for governmental oversight of doctors to ensure they are giving quality care. Yet, Obama has NOT said how many government workers it will take to oversee all these doctors, nor has there been any projection of the salaries of all these new government workers. Not to mention the fact that doctors ALREADY HAVE oversight, through the AMA. So Obama's oversight is unnecessary spending, with an undetermined amount which will cost taxpayers millions of dollars each year. Next, the end-of-life counseling is not adequately addressed. Just WHO is going to do this counseling? And WHO is going to have be hired to ensure that the so-called counselors are adhering to a strict code of ethics and not imposing government-directed bias? Obama hasn't thought that through, either. And their salaries and operating costs over the years? And there is also a tax on the alleged "rich" if they decide to retain their private health care -- there is no way that people will go unpunished for not "choosing" governmental health care -- and that punishment will come in the form of punatorial fees and taxes. That impedes personal choice and freedom. All in all -- the plan is a extremely badly written one that will have terrible ramifications on our country which will last forever -- because it is very rare that any government policy, once put into place, is ever rescinded. How many of your friends' healthcare are YOU paying for? Why don't YOU go adopt a homeless person and pay for all his healthcare, eh? I have a feeling you don't fully understand how much this plan is going to cost you, or you're in such a low tax bracket that you don't care how much it's going to cost people who make more than you (they must be punished for success!). You don't understand that the government cannot, and was never intended to be, the provider of all things to all people. Look -- I don't care if you give up your freedoms -- but do not impose upon mine. Obama = socialism at its worst, most dishonest and most arrogant. ________________ The answer is yes, we probably could. ________________ And anyone can read the plan for themselves (Lord knows WE should, because our representatives probably won't before they vote for it-- )
