Your employer has to have your W-2 done by Jan. 31st. However, they do not have to bring it to you, or mail it to you. If they do, that's great, but they do not have to. It's up to you to get it from them. I called the IRS once and asked them, because I didn't get mine when I wanted it (middle of Jan.), and this is what they told me.

I usually receive mine about the second or third week of January, but by law you should get it b the 31st of this month.

End of January/Beginning of February. Business must mail them out by the end of January.

u can receive them any time between January and March. some people get them even latter then that.

No later than January 31.
