I read in this morning's paper that Dontrelle Willis, pitcher for the Florida Marlins, will see his salary rise from the 4.35 million he made last year to the 6.45 million he'll make this year. We're talking here about a man who won 12 games and lost 12 games last year! If that isn't less than impressive, then I don't know what is. Baseball seems to have way of making mediocrity look like something for which a person should receive a 3 foot tall trophy! Someday, the sport is going to pay for the way it so carelessly throws around its money. It's bound to happen.

Hah! Wouldn't that be nice. I'd actually take any raise. I'm a stay at home mom so I work but don't see a check! Nor do I get sick days or vacation days. I like it though.
