I know how they work if you are an employee.

However, i'm a director and basically work for myself. One of my customers has paid me in full for the service i provided. I know i need to account for this in this tax year.

However, they also gave me stock options that mature in 3 years time provided i don't provide my services to thier competitors.

fair enough.

So when do i account for these stock options ?

I can't do it this years as they haven't matured so i don't know what money i've made.

I'm likely to vest them in 3 years time as the options already have a a healthy profit.

Hows that going to work as i've already accounted for the service in full.

I'm wondering if they count as a new 3 year service - the "service" being to NOT talk to thier competitors.

me ? Confused.

I guess i'll have to talk to my accountant but thought i'd ask here to see if anyone knows.

my customer is in the US but i don't think that matters....

So, filing as married just makes me get no money back. I was expecting it. Can I file as single? I have not changed my SS # yet and I was told that because we were only married a month I should file single. I was a single mom for the whole year.

Everytime I get through to some line.. it ends up being some dead end. No one knows who i need to talk to, they give me some other number that leads to the same end result. Is there anyone out there that can direct me in the right way. I even tried the usps website, but it says not hireing for permant positions in this area... but this is memphis ( a HUB) so I know they are always looking for people.

Sometimes when we pay for a service or a product, we don't necessarily sign our name on the pay slip, but they can still get the money when we only tell them our credit card number and information through telephones or through internet. Is this kind of paying safe??? We don't actually sign for our approval but they have all our information??

I have debt from 1999 about 22,000 to 25,000. i have tried the consolidation and it takes forever. I can not get anything. So I was thinking of claiming and remove all debt in one shot. I want to get a house nd a car and cannot due to the debt.
So is it really bad to claim bankrupt?

I was a part of a profit sharing plan with my former company. Now that I'm no longer with this company, am I entitled to this money? I still receive notices about its activity every month. The company I currently work doesn't have a profit sharing plan that I could transfer the funds to.
