I'd like to buy a house, in the under $100,000 range, but my credit score is 512. I have verifiable income of $35,000. My husband and I make around $70,000 per year together. He has similar credit to mine. There are some issues on my credit report that stem from fraudulent credit card use and old medical bills that I am working to get resolved. I can make a down payment, around 10%. Also, I'm interested in an older house to restore, since historic preservation is my career field. How can I borrow more than the amount of the purchase price to do renovations?

My wife and I want to open a small business and have no idea what we need to do. Can we still do it if you personal credit file is bad? If so, how do we do it, who do we contact and where do we go? Do we need any initial capital or would it be easier to get a loan, even though my credit is bad?

In my portfolio, I calculate the percentage of cash, bonds and stocks that make up the portfolio. Recently I've begun buying CDs. Are CDs considered cash, or bonds, or some other category? I'm finding that if I add their value to cash, it seems like I'm holding too much cash. Any suggestions?

I am applying for law school. The question asks:
"Were you ever accused by an employer, supervisor, or associate, of dishonesty in connection with any employment or occupation, or have you ever been discharged by an employer"

the next question asks "Have you ever been suspended, disqualified or otherwised disciplined as a member of any profession, or military service"

I was fired at an internship working for a Circuit Court. I tried to explain exactly what happened and why I got fired. While truthful, I am aware that my story sounds like a load of crap.

This is what I put (so far), it is the truth. (The Judge was old and blind as a bat). Do you have any suggestions on what I should do or say?

"In the spring semester of my junior year in college I was fired from my internship working at the -th District Circuit Court in NAME, STATE. My job involved pulling files for the judge along with other various administrative tasks.

Has anyone ever had any experience of job posts being deleted in local government and asking it's employee's to re-apply for their jobs? What does this mean? Thing is it's not for me, just heard my old team have had this done to them. Is it quite likely they will get their jobs back as they are favourites?

For a bit of background, I make $45K/year, I pay close to $1000/mo. in rent, $500/mo. in car expenses (counting fill-ups), $80/mo. for my mobile-phone service (I don't have a landline), and $100/mo. for cable/Internet service. I realize it's going to take me a LONG time to pay off this monkey-on-my-back credit-card debt, but if anyone has some helpful suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Do I add of all them together on sectin 2? My total is over 1500$ But individually the mutual fund income is less than 1500 and so is the stock?

I sometimes do small translation work for free (from English to Indonesian and vice versa). It includes translating simple lines or simply translating letters if the readers don't understand. I'm interested to make a living out of it. You know, like a formal job. What should I do? Do I need any certificate or training or something? Thank you. =)

This would include management or any other positions. I also heard that people that work different floors such as the tv floor get paid differently or receive commission I am not sure if that is true. I am also curious about how much members of the Geek squad get paid. If anyone could shed some light on this for me please do so. Thanks.
