Want to rent a room in my friend's apartment- will manager raise his rent?

I'm going to rent a side room in my firends apartment. I want to follow the rules and put my name on the lease. When we go to the manager will they want raise the rent since two people will be living in the apartment?

my sons lease has a clause in it..if anyone other than those named on the lease stay longer than 7 days..he is to pay..$50 a night.. fine.

so read the contract.

whenever your leasing agreement is up for renewl or expired, you take a risk that your rent may be increased...remember there are always other places to rent
