It's difficult to know the timeline you have in mind, but I have some suggestions that may help.
First, open a savings account for your him at a local bank. You will probably want to shop around to find the highest rate in your area, but I am generally seeing the highest rates at local credit unions.
Secondly, sit down with your son and ask him what kinds of work he would be willing to do to earn that money. Mowing lawns, babysitting, delivering papers, chores around the house, tutoring other kids, etc. There are many options, so I suggest you get your son brainstorming and you contribute a few ideas too.
Third, set up a plan with your son to pursue one or more of these options. At least half of the money that he earns should go into the savings account that was opened. The more he puts into the account, the quicker he will reach his goal.
This is by no means a "get rich quick" plan, but it will allow your son to reach his goal and learn some valuable lessons about money and personal finance. If his goal is one you support, you may offer to match his savings dollars to help him along his way.
Best of luck to you!

Mow lawns, in the summer. Shovel snow in the winter. Do yard maintenance. Help the elderly living alone with small chores around the house inside and out. Or, help a single mom with simple chores, but, too heavy for a woman around the house or outside. Take earnings and start up a savings account. Be faithful to put at least half of the earnings each time he gets paid in the savings account so he can earn and gain percentage. Soon he will see his $400.00 goal. Good luck.

properly if he does not convey the son to the listening to he would be charged with contempt. What you will desire to do is ask the courtroom to nominate a parent advert Litum on your son - in certainty an grownup who's there purely on your son - not the two considered one of you. in case your son has been with you generally for the previous 9 years then i could think of which you have custody - you do although would desire to envision with the courts and your state and clarify which you 2 never married - the guidelines perhaps diverse in that undertaking. additionally you will desire to ask the prefer to place an order that the three of you will desire to be respectful to a minimum of one yet another and ALL judgements/ Discussions are to be between you and your Ex purely not the hot spouse. She rather needs to be placed into her place - no offense even although that's not her place to make it easier to be responsive to what to do which includes your son - you and your ex can talk and make requests/thoughts yet not her. confirm you document each thing factually - dates/circumstances/words/witnesses/places/et... and convey it to courtroom. I do would desire to ask your self although why has it taken you 4 years to finally guard this in the process the courts?
