Hiya everyone,
My boyfriend & I are planning to move out of student accommodation and want to try renting apartment starting summer. We are interested in an apartment (rent is around 450-500 pounds per month, ex. bills). I have always stayed in a students accommodation, bills included in the rent (70 - 90 pounds per week).
I wonder how much do I have to pay overall per month for the apartment, including bills etc. It will be based on two persons sharing, and we basically:-
- take shower regularly (1-2 times a day)
- use electric heater regularly
- cook everyday
- use internet for research & work purposes
How much do you think it will cost for water bills (cooking, shower, laundry), gas (cooking and heating), electricity (tv, computer, lighting) and broadband . Is there any taxes that I have to pay ie council tax? I asked some of my friends and they said that the bills sometimes comes in once in 3 months.
I would appreciate your advice on how to save on the bills.

I'm planning on starting my own small business, selling beauty products online from home. Does anyone have any tips or advise on how to mail the products safely? What things do I need to consider when it comes to shipping charges? I don't want to over-charge my customers w/ shipping fees. I graduated from high school in 2006. After that my parents said I couldn't live with them anymore. So far I have been living in a small apartment with 2 of my friends and we split the rent 3 ways. I work almost 60 hours a week and I am just so tired of this lifestyle. I can't afford to go to college and my parents wont pay for it. All the good jobs want me to have a college education. I'm new to the non military job industry. I've just done a few temp assignments and one position I left because it wasn't what was described in the interview.

Today in an interview I was asked about money.

I said what I was making in a previous assignment, but it was really .75 less...and that I would take a little less than that because I wouldn't be commuting as far.

I didn't ask about benefits...and, here's where I really blew it. In the last position, I was given "X" amount of dollars for medical; if I picked a plan that cost less, I got the difference.

There was also a 401K...

The company today, is a small medical staffing firm. Been around 20 years.

I didn't address 1 single benefit...

What do I do now if I'm offered the job?

Can I recover from this total blunder?
