My niece is really heart-sick. She is only 20 and just financed her first car. About a week ago someone hit her beautiful car and drove off. It was a hit and run. She has insurance, but deliquent in payment. She sent them a cashier's check to cover her insurance in full. She sent a cashier's check to the insurance. The company hadn't sent a late notice. Upon the evening of the accident-- the check was in the mail. The insurance company, in the meantime, took photos of her car. And upon receipt of the cashier's check it was immediately negotiated by her insurance company. But, they refuse to pay for the damage done to her vehicle. In a like manner, are they not accepting responsibility for repairs in that they cashed her check? She is a very sad young girl. Is there anything we can do?

I was wondering, I wrote a list of questions to ask the interviewers, and one of them was, "What do you like about working here." They seemed kind of surprised about this question..was it okay? Also, one of the women kept on yawning, and the other kept checking her watch. Are those bad signs?

I don't know how much it cost to buy the stock( other than the price of the stock) or who to contact to buy the stock. I was hoping not to pay a bunch of fees to buy some stock in 1 company when I don't plan on buying anymore in other companies.

I recently saw an excellent position on a job website. The problem is that I don't have the experience they are looking for.

They are looking for someone who can just walk in and do the job, while I'm someone who has the basic skills, but will need some supervision and mentoring.

I did some reasearch and have discovered the name of the hiring manager.

I applied for the job online, but I'm guessing that I'll be screened out by HR as under-qualified

I'm thinking of snail mailing the hiring manager a letter in which I tell him that I'd like to work in his department, go over my qualifications, and tell him that I'd like to "grow into" the role that is being offered and or fill another position in his department. Of course, I'll include my resume.

What do you think? Would you write a similar letter if you were in my position?

I really want to start my own printing company. More like an advertising center. Where we cater services like printing tarpaulin, t-shirt, mugs, pen, card, and other give away items or souvenirs. And I also would like to include digital graphics and logo design. Can anyone help me or guide me on this? I don't even know where to start. :(

Okay, I'm new to investing in funds.

I know a bit here or there, but I'm still learning. I don't know enough to trust myself jumping into anything yet.

What I'm looking for is long-term stuff, like something for retirement. I'm 22 now so I guess it's a great time to start.

What is the top parameters I should look for when browsing mutual funds? Like when browsing MorningStar I see NAV and Expense Ratios (I know what they are) but how do I know what is more important? Also, once I know what is important, how do I know if it's good. I figured you probably want a low expense ratio, but what would you consider "low"?

I guess I just wanna know what to look for in numbers.

I am applying for an internship in the conservation field. Most of the internships i have looked at involve educating about the environment, researching, backpacking...etc
As i was filling out the application a question was - Have you taken courses or have extensive experience with Biology, Botany, Geology...etc I am a sophomore in collage and have only taken one Bio course, so I can’t mark anything.
Also it had a skills section where asked -Do you have experience with or skills with camping, backpacking, identifying plants etc...I have experience with camping but only family things, so I really don’t have much experience at all. I was hoping to use this intern to gain experience; do you think they will even consider me?
-Thank you

I'm a Realtor and my mother is looking to open a flower/gift shop - I have found her a great location for $900 including utilities. I live in a busy part of Los Angeles and there are few shops of this nature in my area - in fact whenever we have to buy gifts we have to travel about 15-20 minutes out of our way to do so. We have the money and I have calculated the cost of every gift (chocolates, balloons, and other gifts) but am having trouble estimating the cost and profit potential of the flowers themselves. Let's assume I'm in a busy area open 7 days a week and the demand for such a shop is somewhat in demand - how much am I looking to spend per month on flowers and what's the potential for income if I sell a wide variety of products such as small bouquets, large, specialty orders and things of that nature... Anyone own a shop like this that could offer me some figures? Thanks!
