There are also nurses called "Scrub nurses." They prepare the operating room for surgery by getting instruments ready and etc. They assist by handing the surgeon the necessary tools, and counting all the equipment afterwards to make sure nothing in left behind.

I believe they are called scrub techs. They are also held accountable for all the instruments( making sure NONE are left inside the patient. As far as how to go about getting a job, I don't know, sorry.
