I have three seperate 401(k) plans from three seperate employers. I never combined them. One of them is only about $7,000. I have $5,000 in credit card debt that I want to pay off to save on interest. Would it be better to borrow against my current 401(k) or to cash out the smaller one and just pay off the credit card debt? I am not worried about the 10% penalty as I will save more than that in interest this year alone.

I am not sure if I want to go to H&R block to get my income taxes done- or if I should do them myself... I am wondering how much money I am looking to get back so I can figure what H&R would deduct and if its even worth it for me...
I'm sure theres a place to go that does them for you free but doesnt let you print or file online... cant remember!!

I want to dispute several items on my credit report, but these agencies don't make it easy to find out their mailing addresses. I have done a search on line, but I've had little luck.

The boss who drops urgent “need this by tomorrow” projects on your desk or who calls meetings at 5pm!

Oooooh, Don’t you just love bosses like that? It’s as if they can sense you have a life outside work and they’ve determined to ruin it for you. Being continually dumped on like this at the last minute or dragged into yet another long, boring, pointless meeting when you’ve got a date and long to get home and get ready for it, needs a heart-to-heart talk and yes! I’m going to talk to him today.

I’ve made some preparation myself such as sticking to the “I” approach that is using the “I” statements, such as “I think I could do a better job if…” is less blaming and inflammatory than using “you” statements such as “You always wait until the last seconds…”

What do you think? Any more helpful advice? All your advice are truly appreciated!

If you want to check on the status of a position you're applying for, how do you ask the question if they are still reviewing you as a prospect? I spoke with the supervisor of the Dept. I will be working in at the beginning of December. She called me back & ask to fax my resume over, and was delight that I called to let them know I was available. But now it is January & I have not heard from the company. I want to call them, but not sure what to say.

Just curious on how to ask the question, if I'm still a prospect & the status of everything?

I'm curious to see if it is possible if I can claim my boyfriend for this year income tax. He's living with me and I pay for everything. He hasn't work for the past 2 years and I've been supporting him throughtout those years. I will be claiming house of household this year, so if he lives under my roof without a job or any kind of income coming in for him, can I still claim him?

There is a person who is supposed to be in Africa sending me emails and I am wondering if he is legitimately sending them from that point or from here in the USA. I don't want to be led into a scam as I already wired $200 to him for a dog and now he is wanting the rest before we agreed. Does this sould fishy?
