People will always have some issue with whatever bank..... it's human life and things happen such as bad customer service anywhere. Employee attitudes, customer attitudes, the fact that middle eastern countries are a large shareholder, whatever. Bottom line is that Citibank is the largest bank on the planet. There are few places on the planet where you can not find a branch. And because they are so big, rates and available investment tools are better than most. Just get an account as it is what it is.

Citibank, is well known for all kinds of miscellaneous fees and difficulty in resolving customer issues.
Their major claim to fame is - they are big, and present in most countries.
You should not use Citibank if you wnat to have low fees, and good customer service. Use Citi if you want to transfer money around frequently, and internationally. And use Citi if you have multi millions, as they treat you better if you are rich.
Me, I don't bank with them, because I am far from being a millionaire, so in their definition, I am "the scum of the earth customers with less than a million to leave with them ".

I have a mortgage and credit card with Citibank. I think the key is to ALWAYS pay on time. If you dont their default rate is very high and you will pay in the long run. Otherwise I have not had any problems with them.

I dont kno where you are but if there is a Commerce Bank near you, you should try there...i have several account with them and i find them to be the best....good luck and happy new year

...I agree with Mr. Inspector.
I have had good experience with the cc, yet too many little problems with customer service. maybe printout our answers and show to the agent that is working with you.

They drive you nuts about getting one of their accounts. They won't leave you alone until you do or tell them to get off your back. I do have one now and it's all right.

I have a credit card with them for many years, no problems so far.
