There are a lot more tapes and CD's promoting foreclosure sales than there are homes bought cheap. Lots of people know about the auctions. I have gone to the auctions many times. There are many professional real estate and investment people present. They know what the homes are worth and the prices are reasonable, not cheap. There is money to be made but there aren't any $200 ocean front mansions.

They can be purchased cheaply but they are hard to find. Most who are successful with foreclosures have been doing ti for years and have relationships with the lenders who give them first shot at most of the properties.
