I am currently 40 years old and my sister told me that I would inherit $ 400,000 worth of Abbott Laboritories stock.I work as a Registered Nurse and currently earn about 57,000.00 a year....I know not very much money for a healthcare professional.However..I have currently $36,000 worth of student loans at 8.25%.I'm currently renting at 675/month. and would like to buy a condo for around 250,000.Should I use the stock to pay off the student loan and buy the condo out right with the stock I inherit...therefore not having to make a house payment or interest on student loans....or keep the stock and not touch it...I could therefore use my income for deferred investment ...ADVICE Please????

Even my own agent is a jerk. We are trying to buy this house-turns out it has termites. The previous owner put in a termite system and we have been requesting the paperwork for this system for about 2 weeks. The seller keeps saying, he'll fax it, he'll fax it, our agent just keeps telling us it's not a big deal (this is our first home and we are poor, we can't afford major termite problems later). Finally, just today, they tell us, they will send the papers for the termites TOMORROW, and suddently our agent is telling us how stupid we are for waiting on the appraisal (which is $300), when we told him from the beginning we weren't doing it until we had these papers. He's saying he had no clue that we wanted these papers and if we don't close by the date specified, it's our fault, our problem. This is the same deal that happened when my mother bought a house 5 years ago. Real Estate agents need some personality training.

I am desperatley searching for the term used to describe a specific decision scenario. I will use an example below to try and convey what I'm speaking of.

For example, you take over a project that is in ruins. The previous project manager made a bad decision on some financing impacting the viability of the project.

When you take over the project you must look beyond what the consequences of the previous actions and not let them interfere with future decsions.

This act of disregarding the bad decsions and not letting them influence the future decision has a specific name. The bad decision also has a specific nam....Thats what I'm searching for. Please help.

I am considering getting into the business in order to stay home with my baby (due in March). I'm not looking to become rich or anything, I just want something to supplement my husband's income. I have heard lots of negatives of Multi-level- marketing, though. Any opinions on the subject? Or any other suggestions for working from home?
