You could advertise on gumtree.com, they also listings. here's a list of websites for flat hunting, I hope they are of help, sorry this is all I know!

The best information for this question would come from your co-workers... who you won't meet till March.
I guess find anything you can with a short commitment... then you can find a place through word of mouth once you start working.

you could go to gatwick and see if they have a news board for staff where you could advertise a flat share, my niece is crew there but commutes from crawley so advertise for surrounding areas as well
