I do not have a good relationship with management at my current job. so I'm looking for a new one. however, I do not want to include them on the employment section of my resume (for fear of reference-checking from hell!), but it is relevant to the new jobs I am applying for. I am afraid if I get an interview, I will be asked if I have a job right now or not. what should I do? leave them off or risk it?

me), seems to pick up on everything I do that's so called 'wrong'. I can do no right by her. All I know is, I've not been asked to leave, so I must be doing something right. Actually, my line manager did warn me that she liked to 'take over'. Anyway, she told me that all the letters I did came back with a whole load of corrections on them. I said, "Oh ok. Just leave them on my desk and I'll correct them". She said, "I've done them for you. You could have looked up the previous file to add in the blanks you left in the letters". I emailed my boss (my direct boss) and told him I was sorry for making so many mistakes on his letters and that I'll try my utmost next time to do better. He said, "There was nothing wrong with them". Is she trying to create trouble and how should I deal with her? I feel so singled out and victimised. Now I no longer want to stay here.

I have been watching late night infomercials claiming you can buy property for less on the dollar and more importantly for zero money down? How is this possible and does it violate any state laws for taking advantage of their situation?

Let's say that there is a home for sale for $170,000 by a new home builder for an inventory home. My realtor will get 3%. If the price was negotiated to 162,000 and that is as low as they will go, would I have been able to get the price reduced even further had I found the property without a realtor? My logic is that the realtor will be getting 3% of 162,000 or $4860, so would that mean without the realtor the builders might have been willing to reduce the price down to $157,140 since they would not have to pay the realtor?

Most of the co-workers , supervisor and boss for the company I work for don’t like me. The place that I work for has a lot of people that don’t like my kind of race. I mean no problem with that you don’t have to like my race if you don’t want to. It is a free country. But every morning I work from 5am-3:30pm on a normal day. First two hours are overtime. Sometimes I have stuff to do and a family to take care of at times. So I cant "always" stay after 3:30, they tell me if "I" don’t work overtime. I will lose my job and don’t have one. But a lot of other co-workers don’t work overtime either, they go home when their regular day is over. And they still have their job. I know they are just waiting to get rid of me. I mean I know that they don’t like my race. But that isn’t right for them to get rid of me because of it. But if they do fire me, it is a At Will State. They can fire you regardless. They can give you a reason or not. What is a way a can prove they fired me because of my race? I mean being the only kind of race there and them firing me because I couldn’t work overtime a few times. But other workers there in the same crew that I am, don’t work overtime at all. And they don’t fire him, and I do more work than him. Could that be proof. I don’t see this as fair or right. What can I do

I'm looking at how much land costs in certain places and see this everywhere: The same amount of land, say 1 acre, costing only $20,000, and another acre in the same area costing $100,000 or more. I know this must be because of how buildable the lot is and if it includes utilities, electric, etc. My question is, in general, would it be more expensive in the long run to buy the cheap land and have to put everything in, or buy the more expensive land that has everything there? Or would it be pretty much equal either way? Anyone with experience know? What's best for a young person without experience building a house?

A recruiter calls you out of blue (more than likely he/she found your resume online and my phone # with it), and talks to your about a job and listens to how you respond (phone interview). He then asks me to e-mail him a resume. He'll forward that to his client (this being a contractor job), and if the client shows interest, he'll set up an interview.

Now, what seems strange is that he already has my resume from some place otherwise he would not have found my phone number, but he still asks for my resume. Is this just one of recruiters' way of saying "Consider yourself to have been screened out"? Has this ever happened to you?

Hi. What would you do if you were in the following situation and
why would you do it ?
The situation: You are married to the love of your life. You have 2 children ages 3 and 1. You stay home to watch the kids while your spouse works because daycare is so expensive it would cost more than what you'd make in wages. Your spouse gets hurt
really bad in an accident (not work related). Your spouse can't go back to work for a long time. You have no savings or relatives that can help out financially. You have only a high school education and no real work experience because you've always been a homemaker.
You go all over the area looking for work. Any kind of work.
After 2 months of looking, you get offered a job.
It's a telemarketing type thing. Only you aren't selling anything.
You are raising money for a charity. You have to raise at least
$500 a day for the charity or you get fired.
Do you take the job? Why or why not?
