I always assumed the gift tax was payed by the reciever for anything over $10,000. Someone just told me that if my wife and I each gift our daughter $10,000, nobody payes taxes, niether us nor her. Is that true?

I've recently reached my provincial age of majority, while unbeknownst to me, I've had various on-going active stocks controlled by my parents since I was 15. How do I re-seize control? I've recently legally renounced kinship with all members of my family.

Please, read the follow-up letter below and express your opinions. If you see any grammar/spelling mistakes or if you simply don't like my letter, then please don't be afraid to tell me how it is. Thank You!

Dear [Person I interviewed with/HR],

I would like to thank you for the opportunity you gave me to interview for the Application Processor position with [Name] and the Case Manager position with [Name]. I have learned alot of new things about [Company Name].

Through my experience and training I've gained many skills, as well as an understanding of office administration, data entry, and dealing with the general public. I have worked five years in various positions from Front Desk Receptionist to Office Administrator. I think my training and experience would compliment either position you have offered to me.

Again, thank you for your hospitality during my visits and for all your efforts to arrange my visits. I look forward to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Jessica

TSA seems pretty hard up to keep their screening stations staffed. There are newspaper ads, job fairs going on...pretty serious hiring push it seems
I'm wondering, are these PT screener jobs total dead end positions? could you maybe move to full time or supervisor roles if you did a good job and hung around for a while? I'm interested in TSA and homeland security jobs and seeing how so many other federal positions seem to take forever to hear back on/get hired I was thinking of doing a screener job in the meantime. what do you think?

We have only been living in the house from a couple of months. I understand about waiting to see if the rates are lower than our original but do we need more equity in the home? Or do you just need the rates to be lower? And how much of a difference would it make if say there was a 1/2 of a point difference? Thanks for the help in advance

Ok guys…I’m tired of working for other people. I know working for others will never be rewarding because it has built in limits that I simply do not want. I will gladly take the bad and the good of being on my own instead of the so-so area of working for others.

I know not to do the TV ads or fall into the sells of the money making dream for only $19.95. It seems as though the people who are really making money are keeping it a secret. Do you all exist out there?

I tried to start my own business several times but always had to stop because of lack of funds. I’m sure my problem is lack of knowledge of how the game is really played. I just want to really know are there people out there who are making money working for themselves in a real legal small business that started from scratch but never gave up and became successful. It seems like an idea but no hard proof behind this statement. I need examples that this is indeed true.

Any one out there living my dream of being on their
