Is it possible to make more than just the initial deposit with a CD account?

Yes, You can deposit into CD account as much amount you like. You can issue as many cheques to the client within the week. Saving account has no such facility. there's some restriction for issuing cheques in a week. CD means current depost account

i dont think so... cd's only let you deposit one sum of money and you have to wait... you might be able to add money, but there might be a fee. if not possible, why not just open another cd...?

as in cd... you mean certificate of deposit right?

yes, it can be as much as you want.
