damn i needed to be at the post office with this application yesterday. oh well. i missed the deadline

Nothing is impossible. You would need to have a connection at the post office. However, it would be considered fraud. Imagine if you could? You would back date everything like your taxes, and blame the postal sevices! hehehe although here in SA it is a given your snail mail will be late!

Not in the USA. That's why so many things say 'mail by', because the date cannot be legally changed. They can do it on accident, but I wouldn't recommend doing it any other way.

they can, but they wont-i worked in a postal contract office- and i am pretty sure it is illegal
