What is the S&P index? From what i heard from, it's a collection of the diversified stocks that is expected to go up in value. Is this right? Can i buy an S&P stock? Where can i find the price of S&P index? Please bear with me. im new to the stock market. very new.

The ex-fiance and I bought a house together before we got married, she called the wedding off at the last minute for no reason, but told me that since all the money put toward the house was my money, she wasn't going to try to take the house... I was told I could get her to sign a "stop claim" agreement and she wouldn't be able to change her mind later on down the road. Where can I get one of those, or does anyone know what I am referring to?

me and my team are doing it for the queens chamber of commerce.

we have to design a website which will cater to high school and college students who want internships and employment, specifically in new york city and around the triboro area.

we have already tested a beta version in mysql and php and its promising.

nyc has a population of about 8 million, lets say 3 million are students, and 1.2 million are in high school + college in and around the city. if can get 1.2 million users how much would that affect the overall performance of the backend?

my supervisor wants to use java and postresql.

what is your opinion?

Have you made a strong effort to invest for your retirement, or are you living just for today? I've been saving the max in my companies 401K for 20 years (at the moment I am unemployed) and I've been putting money into an IRA and a few other investments just for my retirement. Yet so many of my friends say they have not because they can't afford it. I say you can't afford not to. I was just wondering how many people actually think about it.

I work at a gym, and though I love the people who go there and my co-workers and employer, they are very conservative on the style of clothes a person can wear. I have a very alternative way of dress and at the time when I got hired, I needed the money badly and was grateful for the job, but now I wish I had a job where I could at least wear a black t-shirt and not be considered innappropriate. I don't need a job that is okay with mohawks, but at least be lenient toward something a little different than vanilla. The question is, what would be the best advice?

I lost my job with the big "blue" box retailer. and now I start a new job in a week, which meens, I wont have any income coming in for 2 weeks, does anyone have any ideas on how to get ahold of some money, I dont have a checkn account nor can I get one,, so payday advances are out of the ?, I have very bad bad credit. I am desperate to stay in our school district for my kids sake. I am desperate to leave my situation away from my boyfriend, also; for my kids sake. I now have bad credit (most is 5+ yrs old) and just started a descent paying job that will become commission based. I feel that purchasing is smarter than renting. So, I wonder if one has to have good credit, job stability, and/or money down to purchase a home. Or which is most important? I am working on all of the above and obviously it takes time. So, I need to figure out the best first, second, third and so on, move.

If I go to a retail store and apply for a credit card, for instant approval they usually need another one of your credit cards to check it. Can you use a debit card for this purpose if it has a visa logo on it?
