I've heard of people having themselves bought as prom dates and such. Just curious if other similar ventures get removed by ebay.

One interesting thing about eBay is that they do not police their own auctions. They rely entirely on their members to report offending listings. So it just depends on whether someone reports you, and how big of a backlog they have. Sometimes people get reported and eBay just doesn't get around to checking them out before the auction ends.

Tried to sell my dear husband a couple of years ago. They pulled it down a couple of days in. Someone reported it, to be sure.

He was a reasonable price, I don't know what the problem was:-))
