Your best option will be to get advice from a local real estate agent. There are several websites, like Zillow.com, that will give you an idea or an approximation of the value of your property, but it will be inaccurate because those websites do not count on many features that may, or may not, rise the value of your real estate above other similar homes (like type of floors or a private spa in your house).

Assessors Office for lot and interior detail, the selling price is usually listed there in September. The Town/City Clerk will have all details.

You can go to century 21 on line and they will ask for your city/town and zip. Then they can show you the houses you might be interested in . They also want to know how much you are willing to pay for one and that will give them a general idea of what you are looking for. They may show some houses for surrounding towns near by

i know for a fact that the The Washington Post puts out a listing of houses sold and their address. So, check your local paper to see when they list it.

You have several options. If you have a Realtor that you deal with and ahve built a relationship with I am sure they will check that for you. You can also check with you town or city clerk. most cities and town maintain records on line and you can check it out there. If your in CT let me know and I will point you in the right direction.

I agree with the poster who said zillow.com. Depending on how long ago it sold, it may also be in the paper under transactions and says who it sold to and for how much.

try the link below... you'll need the address - just fill out the form on the website. It works, I just typed in my old address and all the homes in my neighborhood popped up (including mine and the price it sold for).

go to yahoo.com and search: (city your in) property appraisers
That should take you to your cities prop appr. website and from there you can search by owner name or street address. That is how the realtors and appraisers do it. Good luck/
