My relative is going out of town for five months, and he gets a social security check every month. The person he is staying with is using him and taking money. How do I get power of attorney, so that he can receive his checks in the state that he will be in for five months? Are there forms that I can get off the internet? Do I need to call social security when he leaves town and let them know what is going on?

I've spotted something I'm interested in, but don't know the ins and outs of buying a home. I do understand amortization, loans, interest rates and tax impact (as I am an accountant), but nothing really about the offer and buying process itself.

I'm looking for resources, whether online, recommended books or personal insight.

My main objective - to not get caught with the wool over my eyes.

I saw on a previous post that if you save all your receipts for the year that you paid taxes on, you can get that money back at the end of the year. Does this mean EVERY receipt like eating out and clothes or just certain ones like major purchases for your house?

my mom has been doing this new job for about a month now..and since then, her boss has been completely rude and mean to her. this woman is like..a prison guard. never has she given so much as a smile to my mom or even said good morning. she constantly insults her on how she does her job (she's new, so she makes little mistakes like accidently losing an email, which was sent to her again on request, no problem) and just yells her head off. other than that, the woman is like..silently cursing at her. my mom comes home upset and tired and now has to see a doctor for anti-depressants. our whole family is going insane cause its a lot for them to take on too.. problem is, though she's quickly going insane, if she quits or gets fired (which is likely), we'll be..basically.. screwed. no money= no apartment (not that we live in versailles as it is.) whoever can give some advice on what to do.. whether its something different that my mom should do or say..anything. if you have any advice-please.

Think real estate agent suggested listing price to low, that way it sold quickly. Got an offer for listing price on first day shown. Do I have to accept this offer, when I think I want more for the house.

I am incredibly lazy. All I like to do is sit on the internet and look at whatever interests me and sometimes chime in with my personal opinions. I'm sick of working. I have hated evey job I've ever had. Are there any schemes out there where I can make money sitting at home doing next to nothing? I'm not talented, inteligent, good looking, or nice. i noticed that lots of my coworkers go out together on the friday night, but they NEVER ask me to join them. they are very friendly in the office, we all have been working together for about the same time, we joke around , laugh, they tease me, call me, i tease them, we have time when we are in teh office, but still they never ask me to hang out with them, eventhrough i know they all hang out together, and we are all at the same corporate level right now, what could be the reason?
