I never carry a balance. So my analysis is based on what I get back - rewards. I use my Amex Blue Cash card for gas as it gets 5% back. I use my Citibank Premier Pass card in general because I get good points for good stuff. I have a Discover card with 0% interest for a year that I put a trip on (the only balance I'm carrying) and it had no balance transfer fees. I like the website for citibank the best, but amex is pretty good, too.

From the way you framed your question, it appears you are looking for cards with low rates.

But keep in mind that other factors are also important.

Eg

1. method of calculating monthly balance - average daily balance or 2-cycle average daily balance method?

2. grace period - 20 or 25 days

3. daily periodic rate or monthly periodic rate? - most cards use the daily periodic rate which results in a higher effective interest rate you pay than a card using the monthly periodic rate.

4. your apr is determined by your credit.

below are a couple of comparison charts.

Go to bankrate.com to search credit cards. The best are no annual fee, and you get some cash back. Make sure you pay off card in full each month, or it's not worth it.
